The second quarter of 2023 was full of movement for ETERNITY Systems. In this press review, find all the articles discussing the group's news, published in the various specialist media for packaging and the industry in general.
ETERNITY Systems expands its washing site in Lisses (91)
For the month of April, the press mainly focused on the development of the group's main site, located in Lisses (Essonne 91). In his article April 7, Usine Nouvelle emphasizes the equipment of three new lines for industrial packaging (pallets, bins, etc.) and another for primary containers (cups, pots, etc.) as well as the amount invested for the installation of these infrastructures (1,2 million euros).
For his part, through his article “ Reuse at the end of the tunnel » Restoration 21 focuses mainly on the expansion of the site, devoted “for washing small catering containers » as well as on the ambitions ofETERNITY Systems for the next five years, told by Eléonore Blondeau (New Projects Manager at ETERNITY Systems), which evokes a desire to extend the “regional network to 5 years”.
In order to democratize the industrial washing of reusable packaging, all the teams ETERNITY Systems moreover had the pleasure of hosting the company's first open house from May 22 to 27. With more than 200 visitors, including 6 editorial staff, it was a real success! Learn more >>
ETERNITY Systems partners with Re-uz
For this month of May, only one subject attracted the envy of the specialized press: the announcement of the partnership with the company Re-uz (manufacturer of reusable containers). The common objective: "to conquer the French collective catering market", as reported in particular l’Usine Nouvelle, le Business Journal or Semaine du Roussillon.
Resto-today, succeed.fr et l’Usine Nouvelle even speak of "pooling their service/expertise" to underline their common ambition to guarantee "a complete and innovative offer" and to standardize the use of reusable containers. To illustrate this, Reussir.fr quotes the words of Gildas BOUILLY (CEO ofETERNITY Systems) who sees in it “a significant step forward for responsible collective catering” and shows its pride “to contribute to this ecological and social transition of the catering market, in order to take an additional step towards the generalization of reuse”.
This generalization of packaging reuse does not stop there. By partnering with Re-uz, ETERNITY Systems intends to seize the opportunity offered by the world of events to achieve its ends. Indeed Re-uz has been selected as the actor who will be responsible for supplying all the food and drink containers for the 2023 Rugby World Cup as well as for the 2024 Olympics, mentioned by Eléonore Blondeau in Restauration 21.
ETERNITY Systems faced with the lack of involvement of large companies and institutions for the reuse of packaging
By correlating with the law set by the French state concerning the ban on the marketing of single-use plastic packaging by 2040, ETERNITY Systems wishes to establish itself as an important player in the generalization of reusable packaging and containers. However, an obstacle stands in the way: some industries are making insufficient efforts to move in this direction.
This problem gave rise to a series of debates in which our new project manager took part: the first (Plastic packaging: can we do without it?) took place on 1er last June in Paris. Moderated by Fabienne Loiseau, Reporterre journalist, the main subject of this debate was the place occupied by single-use plastic packaging and the alternatives offered and the study of their complementarity in certain use cases such as health for example.
This same daily takes up the words of Éléonore BLONDEAU in her report of the debate Plastic packaging: "Manufacturers are not playing the game" . It denounces the fact "that the existing legislation is not applied correctly and that no support is offered before possible sanctions" to set up reusable packaging, thus pushing international companies not to put the necessary means for reuse.
